"Hector"
The last cria of the year arrived at Blue Moon Ranch today. Lola had her baby around 8 pm. Lucky for him he stood up right away ( less than 10 minutes old in the photo) and found the milk bar before it got too dark! Brego (below) will have a good friend to play with!

"Brego"
Calypso is such a pro at having babies! She popped Brego out in a matter of minutes and is doting on him like she should. He is running with the other babies and is very vigorous! Congratulations to Mary Owen, Bramblewood Alpacas, who thinks he is "just wonderful".

Another baby girl born at Blue Moon Ranch today! Bell and Teewinot surprised me with a very dark colored baby. She is strong, healthy and beautiful! Congratulations to the Milanas!

"Cecily"
Sienna had her first cria today and is being a great mom. Another female for Blue Moon Ranch! She is about one hour old in these photos and is waiting for a perfect name. Sienna's bloodlines combined with Teewinot's will make this girl one to keep an eye on! She told me her name is Cecily. :)

"Bindi"
Luna had a baby girl today! It's amazing the dark colors we are seeing from Teewinot! This baby has a splash of white on her top knot just like her mom does, and was running with the herd at about 3 hours old. Her name is Bindi.

"Princess Grace"
Queen Ester waited until all the wedding guests were gone and then delivered a sweet baby girl for Blue Moon Ranch. Since her mother is a Queen , we will call her Princess Grace. :) She is still wet in the first picture and less than a hour old. She is a Smokey brown and we are wondering if there is gray in there somewhere!

"Annie"
Bonny made us wait but this little girl was worth it! She was born on a perfect sunny day, a perfect weight of 18 pounds, nursed well with in a few hours, and joined the herd with her mama before dusk. Her name is Annie. Sire is Teewinot

Nell delivered another beautiful fawn baby GIRL for Blue Moon Ranch today. She looks a lot like Sophie below, but is quite a bit smaller. She was not expected until July 7. Sire is Teewinot.

Petora finally delivered her cria today. She looks so much like her big sister Gabby, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Her name is Sophie. The sire is our Teewinot.

"Merlin"
Minnie surprised us and delivered her first cria today! A gray boy sired by Aysen. He's minnie like his mom, and weighs only 14.4 pounds. But he's the fastest cria in the gang and reminds us of a greyhound!

"Mondo"
Zoey had a gorgeous dark brown little boy at 12:49 p.m. and he looks wonderful! Dark fleece with the feel of white! His dad is Teewinot, so I'm not surprised! Congratulations to Sam and Carolyn Milana of Meadows Ranch.

Next to arrive, exactly one minute later at 12:50 is Amy's little girl, also fathered by Teewinot. Wow look at that fleece on a newborn!
Blue Moon Ranch will own this cria and we couldn't be happier.

Livia, who made us wait the longest had a 23 pound baby girl, also fathered by Teewinot. She looks so much like Livia did when she was born! Congratulations to Rina and Creig of Amber Mountain Alpacas.

Fifi finally had her cria! Paddington arrived around 10 am with a little assistance and yes, he has 2 ears, it's just that one is a little stuck back as a result of how he was positioned inside Fifi. It will straighten out in a week or so.

The first cria of the year has arrived! Congratulations to Eevie and Scott Heldman of Sweet Pea Alpaca Farm. She is strong and healthy and Eevie is being a very attentive first time mom. A great way to start birthing season! She is just a few hours old in the photos and barely dry! Her name is "Black Eye Susan" (Susie for short)
