Our philosophy of raising alpacas has developed over the years: *Always breed to the best males possible. *Treat all customers the way we expect to be treated. *Reduce stress for the animals at all costs. This means you might not find us at as many shows as other breeders, but does not mean our alpacas are any less in quality! I would much rather show you a healthy quality herd than a bunch of ribbons. Yes we have shown and yes we have blue ribbons, but our herd will mostly be shown right in the pastures where they are happiest. Our herd health regime has developed over the years. read about it here.

Ed Heintz grew up in California and moved to Utah in 1979. He is in the equipment leasing business during the week, and is a fantastic pooper scooper on the weekends! He also does a great job training alpacas. He has been the treasurer of IMpaca (Intermountain West Alpaca Association) for four years. And he's a good sport about wearing silly hats, too. Linda Gardner grew up in Chicago and moved to Utah in 1985. Being a special Education teacher, mother to three kids, sales manager, and massage therapist somehow led her to alpacas! Now a full time alpaca rancher, the dream has come true. Linda served as President of IMpaca (Intermountain West Alpaca Association) for two years.
We have three wonderful human kids too. Photo taken Christmas 2006.
