We choose our breeding males on careful measure of these 4 traits: exceptional fleece qualities and fleece production, history of crias produced,  flawless conformation,  and temperament.     We offer attentive care for your dam and cria while they are here.  We give a 30 day live birth guarantee, and feel you should know we have seen no defects at all from any of our proven studs.

Are you price shopping for cheap herdsires??  Well we don't have any of those, BUT we do understand times are tough and we know our industry needs to keep focused on quality so we will offer dramatic discounts for drive by breedings. please send an email if you'd like details.

Sierra Bonita's Teewinot   ARI # 823517

Teewinot is outstanding in every way. As a Juvenal he won 1st place in a halter class of 20 at Estes Park Colorado. His histogram showed an incredible micron of 14.5 at a year old. As a yearling his fleece won 1st place at the 2002 AOBA National Fleece competition. By the age of 2 his histogram showed a micron of 17.8. This year we again showed his fleece and again he won 1st at the 2003 AOBA National show. Two years in a row in competition with white fleeces from all over the country!!!

Come see the Teewinot crias!!    We have not shown any of Teewinot's crias, since we retired ourselves from the show ring, but Leslie Loveless did and his daughter took Color Champion at Txolan and again at the Great Western Show in Denver!  Another Teewinot daughter took a blue ribbon and color champion when she was shown as well.

Teewinot is now 10 years old, still looking as great as ever.  Virtually no guard hairs in his blanket fiber and he is still producing phenomenal  fiber himself and throwing crias that have his unmistakable stamp.    fee  $3000

CRA Peruvian Presidential Bull

Histogram  AFD 19, SD 4.2, CV 22.1, 2%>30

Three accoyo bloodlines stand behind this boy! Accoyo Royal Fawn, Accoyo Yupanqui and Accoyo Mr. President.   Bull had two cria on the ground as of July 2008 and we are thrilled with both of them. Fiber statistics:

Exquisite fleece with exceptional density, enviable coverage, bold crimp, well defined lock, incredible brightness and fineness. Add to that his gorgeous typey head and perfect conformation; he stands out from the crowd. Bull settled his first female at 21 months of age with one breeding! His full Peruvian pedigree will certainly add quality to his breedings.   In addition, he is probably the gentlest male on our farm.  He comes when I call him for breeding, goes right to a pen I have for him near the girls barn (without a halter) and waits for me to show him where his date is.   Now look at his babies and tell me what more could you want?    fee $2500

Yes he even produces color - including gray!

Aysen    ARI # 814619

Histogram :   AFD 23.7   SD 6.1    CV 20.7    8.8

Patagonia's Aysen is a son of Danko, one of the most well known grays in the alpaca industry.   His fiber has density that we have not seen in other grays, and his personality is delightful.  Come meet this boy for your self if at all possible and  you will see why we chose him.   Aysen won a blue ribbon in his class at the Wild West Alpaca Show in Vernal, Utah, under  judge Diana Timmerman      Aysen's crias are showing great colors!  Rose gray, black and silver gray !  check our Merlin, the favorite of the 2005 crias!    Aysen's        Fee  $2000.

 BMR Merlin  ARI #30381872

DOB 6-2-2005   Sire: Patagonia's Aysen (above) Dam: Minnie (true black)

Histogram : AFD 21.6  SD  5  CV 23   CF 94.6

Why use Merlin?  Well maybe his 21 micron crimpy fleece, or maybe that the 2 times we showed his fleece he brought home a blue ribbon. Or maybe his easy going personality, or his great conformation. Or maybe you want some Danko bloodlines or maybe that his mom is my favorite black female with a fleece  that had an AFD of 18 when I tested her. We do not necessarily focus on grays, but this boy simply makes you focus on quality and that is what we care about.

fee $ 1800         Merlin is also available for sale

BMR Raven   # 30497108

True Black

ARI#  30497108  Sire: Lola's Zhivago (gray)  Dam: Minnie (true black)  born 6/14/2006

Out of our best black female and a beautiful gray male with solid black and gray lines, Raven has earned a chance to stand as a stud a Blue Moon.  One way to determine if a male gets a chance on stud row is to examine the marketability of his fiber, and I know that Raven's yarn is the first to sell out every year.  So would I like more little Ravens?  YES!  We hope to see a cria from him in 2010.  introductory fee $1000

Jr herdsires - up and coming!

Sergio has a fleece that absolutely glimmers in a golden light fawn color.  Consistent crimp, baby fine and a gentle personality will guarantee this boy  a chance to stand on stud row.  Sergio has beautiful conformation and is a very large male for his age.

ARI # 30691230    DOB 8/13/06

2010 will be the year we give Tucker a chance to prove what he can do as a stud!  Accoyo Cahuide (now deceased) from Amanda VandenBosch's herd has long been a BMR favorite so we were thrilled to add his genetics to our herd with this male.  With a gray dam and bay black sire, the color possibilities of Tuckers offspring are unlimited.
