Penumbra has won 3 blue ribbons in fleece competitions: at Estes Park 2000 with his first shearing, at Heartland's Fall Festival AOBA fleece show 2001 (third shearing), and in 2002 another blue at the AOBA spin-off in the class of 6 mature dark males, which included dark fawns, browns and blacks.
