Alpaca Yarn
The first 6 yarns on this page have been dyed in our kitchen and are 70 % alpaca and 30% merino. This yarn will have the softness of alpaca, but more memory from the merino. Matilda's mauve is a chunky
weight yarn blend of 70% alpaca and 30 % merino. I have tried to capture the
correct color of this one of a kind yarn, using natural light but please keep in
mind that all computer monitors display colors differently. 100 grams, approx

*please be aware that alpacas eat hay and grass to make their lovely fiber for us to spin into yarn. They also love to roll! We take great pains to remove any vegetation before processing and we also ask our processor to send cria fleeces through a dehairing machine to remove any bit of hay. But still you might find an occasional piece of hay in your yam, which can easily be removed. We like to think of it as proof of authenticity. :)

Summer is such an unusually color girl. She looks brown on the tips before shearing, gray in some light and beautiful no matter what the light!
